Silly name for a post, but here is the basic biscuit recipe I promised. We are making these today as the whole family has chicken pox!! :( What a way to spend the last week of the school hols!
We usually sprinkle these liberally with hundreds and thousands/sprinkles, so they will be as dotty as us today!
Foundation Biscuit Mixture (by My Mother-In-Law - 2005)
Note: (4oz is about 125g)
4 oz sugar
4 oz butter (not marg)
4 oz plain/all purpose flour
4 oz SR flour
1 egg
Cream sugar and butter together with a touch of vanilla extract/essence. Add other ingredients. Mix thoroughly.
Roll out and cut into shapes you need. If you wash the play-doh cutters, your kids can make all kinds of different shapes. Cups make good round shapes, blunt knives can be used for rustic shapes, use whatever you have in the kitchen - be creative!
Sprinkle with 100s and 1000s, pop a dob of jam on them, etc.
Cook in a moderate oven until golden, or however you prefer them to be.
Ice them if you need to, anything goes. No idea how long they last, as we eat them all pretty quickly.

YUM *scoffs and boils kettle for next one!*
Go and cook with your kids!
