So today despite the Global Financial Crisis, the impending Recession and my lack of other options, I nonetheless submitted my resignation. I am going to devote time to getting my life in order and getting healthy again. I have been granted an exemption from the two-weeks-notice-needed clause in my contract, so today is my last day! 3 hours and a bit to go!! Sanity here I come!

I ended my job back in December and isn't it a good feeling when you make that choice?
Hi Jess,
You are doing the best thing for yourself and your family. Trust me - I did the same thing last year and it was the BEST THING EVER to have done. Take time out, be with your kids and your husband, bake LOTS, and when and if you're ready to go back, you'll know it.
I'm wishing you all the best!
Hi Jess, I'm so glad you're putting yourself first and taking some time out. Hope things get better really really soon!

It sounds like it is absolutely the right decision. Leaving behind things that are not right can only lead you to better things. It sounds like you're on a better path already. All the best, Bec :)
Good health is everything. Good choice. Good on you, Jess.

Oh I wish ......
Well done for you, taking time to look after yourself is a great choice
Good on you for doing the right thing for yourself and your health. You only live once, right? That can be a scary thought, but also an empowering one.
Good for you! I hope it all works out for you.
Congratulations Jess!
Sending much healing and peace your way. <3
If your already feeling good about your decision then it must have been the right one to make!
Good luck to you for sure.

Wow Jess. Good for you. It is so good (and hard) to take steps like this. I am sending you all my positive thoughts.
Good on you! I was having a major stress about quitting my job in January, considering how things are etc, (I ended up negotiating to go part-time). It takes a lot of guts to do it but I'm sure you won't look back - here's to a fantastic 2009 for you!
