Pea-ping out from a blanket of green...

The first snow peas! Both kids are refusing to eat them, but I am LOVING them straight off the plant. Lots of green tomatoes, some teeny tiny cucumbers, and the promise of a rockmelon/cantaloupe to come! Lettuces almost all eaten (by us, not snails, they seem to dislike sliding on polystyrene boxes). I had forgotten the joy of the veggie patch...!

What are you growing at the moment?

Yum! I must try growing them too - I love snow peas, but not normal peas. I'm a fussy pea eater!

There is a nothing better than peas fresh off the plant ... and snowpeas are the best. (If the kids won't touch them, I wouldn't be encouraging them ... all the more for you!). We are growing tomatoes, lettuces, potatoes, strawberries and watermelon. I have only seen fruit on the tomatoes so far ... not sure how the rest will fare! I am not exactly reknown for my green thumbs.

Mmm! I love snow peas! We didn't grow many last year, so have given ourselves a break from them. Instead we are growing potatoes, tomatoes, spinach, basil, lettuce, cucumbers, zucchini, pumpkin, eggplants and capsicum. I don't think we'd have room for peas, even if we tried!
