I have been very lucky in the thrifty stakes this week, but after another horrendous start to the day, I took myself and Miss 2 off for a little retail therapy to the local oppy, who happened to be reducing everything by half price or more....
Little bakelite teacups to go in the picnic basket.
So with $3 spent (I am NOT joking), we went to a little-visited gem that I rarely get to. Miss 2 was happy with her 'teaset', and proceded to have a tea party while I collected...
We celebrated with a fairy cake (there is such a thing as Too Much Cream!) and 'cinos.
Most happy with our purchases, we wandered home through the Autumn leaves, scuffing and singing.
Great pick-me-up, but I think the house is well past full. With enough to open a shop, I think etsy and I have a date...

oh what finds! Love those teacups.
I just don't go too well in op shops. I'm either there at the wrong time or just don't know how to spot a bargain. But you do really well!
What lovely finds - love those pillowcases! Wooden puzzles are great for little ones - that Bambi puzzle looks so cute.
You are going to have to tell me where you got that gorgeous tree puzzle!!
That was a fantastic op shop day! You certainly have an eye for finding all the gems!
Miss 2 looked very happy with her treat. :D
Great finds. I haven't been thrifting in so long, but you've inspired me to start hunting again. This time I'll be looking for vintage tablecloths.
Have a great weekend.
I love a bit of alliteration too:)
Your thrifty radar must be running in overdrive....such excellent finds AGAIN! creamy cupcake scoffing sounds superb.
Hey Jess, thrift queen! :) How about some op shop reviews to help the rest of us? (Of course we'll understand if you don't want to give away your secrets!). Ruth
Great finds. I think it is great retail therapy, you just never know what you are going to find that will catch your eye. Although I must learn how to budget like you. :)
Go you! I love the Norfolk Island tablecloth, and the roses :D
