This is a Brown Snake that met my friend Em at her front door recently when she came home from picking the kids up from school. She lives in South Australia.I was blown away that she was calm enough to take a picture IN FOCUS with this nearby.

As for your question about the pinni in my blog, I don't sell but I am happy to share the pattern number if you are interested in sewing. It is really easy to sew and versatile...you can adapt it for summer with lighter weight fabrics and use heavier weight fabrics for winter with a top underneath.
That brings back memories of the snake I had in my house a few years ago (before I had a digital camera - or the sense to take a picture of it with my film camera). I was convinced it was a baby brown snake, but an internet search later revealed it was more likely to be a green tree snake. Still, a snakes a snake and they have no place in my house!!
Well done to your friend for not freaking out - as I probably would have done.
